Nigel Rallings

My time with boxers started at a very young age as both my parents and grandparents owned boxers as family pets. Liz my wife and I bought our first boxer in 1977.

Our first boxer changed our lives, got us involved in the world of boxers and we registered our kennel name ‘Zenmaxkay’ with the English Kennel Club in 1979.

In those early years our showing was restricted to the UK due to quarantine restrictions, when relaxed we were also able show at the major European boxer shows. We have been fortunate to have had success at the shows with boxers owned and bred by us gaining their champion titles in a number of countries.

Our minds were always open to the possibilities to improve our breeding and quality and have imported boxers from Holland, Belgium and Italy & Russia.

My judging career began in 1991 as I progressed through the English judges system to be approved to judge at Championship Shows.

I have had the privilege of judging at the Atibox Boxer World Show in Hungary 2013. At the Annual and Club Championships shows in Denmark, Finland, Holland, Portugal, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Australia, France, Italy, Slovenia and the UK.

Since 2015 we have lived in Spain, where our passion has continued, showing our boxers with continued success.

For me it is important to also contribute to the boxer world, this I did in the UK as secretary of the Midland Boxer Club for over 20 years. Now I have the honour of being General Secretary of Atibox.
